The Home Depot and BBDO Atlanta celebrate the journey every tree takes from family farms to family living rooms across America

The magic of the holiday season starts when the perfect Christmas tree finds its way home. This year, The Home Depot and BBDO Atlanta have celebrated the journey every tree takes from family farms to family living rooms across America.

The new campaign, ‘The Right Tree,’ tells two parallel stories made possible by The Home Depot: a Christmas tree nurtured for years by generations of farming families sets out on its journey, while a little boy sets off to find a tree that’s “just right” for his family. The campaign highlights the care, dedication, and tradition behind every live tree on offer.

To bring this story to life even further, The Home Depot has launched a mini social series spotlighting everyone involved in delivering live Christmas trees to its customers—including the farmers who grow them, the drivers who carefully transport them, and the helpful associates who make sure each customer finds their perfect match.

"When we found out The Home Depot partners with family-owned tree farms across the country, we couldn’t wait to help tell that story. We wanted to shine a light on that special moment when you find the right tree and the right tree finds you,” said Robin Fitzgerald, chief creative officer at BBDO Atlanta.

"The holidays are built on traditions, and this year we wanted to celebrate one that’s close to so many hearts: the annual search for the perfect tree. We’re sharing the journey behind our fresh-cut trees, starting with the incredible family farmers we partner with, like the Sexton Family. It has been a joy to highlight the craftsmanship and care they pour into their work. This campaign follows that journey, from the farm to our tree lots and, finally, into the living rooms where families gather to make memories. At The Home Depot, we’re proud to offer quality trees and to support dedicated farmers who help bring them to our customers.
