The Gate has unveiled the Chief Marketing Oracle, an AI-powered, philosopher-styled fortune teller built to answer marketers’ most pressing questions about 2026 delivered with ancient Greek gravitas, modern marketing insight, and a wink.
What makes the Oracle unique:
- A fully built persona - The creative team developed a distinct voice for the Oracle and trained the system to deliver “old Greek style” prophecies that were optimistic, wise, and decidedly not dry.
- AI used in a character-first way - The team started with 15 deeply crafted prompts, then designed, coded, and trained the model to produce unique answers each time allowing marketers to interrogate the CMOracle for hours.
- An idea with real utility - It’s fun, but also cathartic and gives marketers someone (or something) else to offload their year-end anxieties to.
The CMOracle is a fresh example of how agencies are playing with AI not to automate creativity, but to extend it. Part digital toy, part strategic pep-talk, this project is a reminder that AI can be a tool for enhancing (not replacing) human-made creativity.
