Acclaimed editor Steve Gandolfi has officially joined The Quarry roster for UK representation. The move marks a significant homecoming for Steve, whose career began in London before he became a global powerhouse in the editorial world.
Steve founded Cut+Run in London in 1997, growing it into one of the world’s premier editorial houses. Throughout his career, he has shaped some of advertising’s most iconic campaigns, earning a reputation as one of the most influential editors in the industry.
Last year, following the loss of his Los Angeles home in the Palisades Fire, Steve experienced a profound 'creative reset.' This renewed energy sparked a desire to reconnect with his UK roots and the creative community where it all started.
The Quarry’s managing partner Bruce Townend says, "Steve has shaped the way commercials are cut for more than two decades. Having him join us in the UK isn’t just about representation; it’s a homecoming. It offers agencies and directors a rare opportunity to collaborate directly with an editor who has influenced the craft at a global level."
Ben Campbell, editor and partner at The Quarry, adds, "I first met Steve in 2008 when he interviewed me for an assistant editor job at Cut+Run. Since then, he has fired me, rehired me, and eventually promoted me to his partner. My respect and admiration for this meticulous, mercurial, and magnetic editor - and now dear friend - is second to none. I am ecstatic that he’s joining us here at The Quarry. Long may our partnership and friendship continue."
Steve Gandolfi commented, "Losing everything was life-changing, but it also gave me a sense of freedom. My career began in London, and The Quarry is the natural home for me. It feels like the right fit at the right time, and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and new creative partners on this side of the Atlantic."
With Steve joining the roster, The Quarry reinforces its commitment to being a home for world-class talent whose work continues to drive the industry forward.
