On the occasion of the United States Formula 1 Grand Prix, Renault has made a spectacular return to the screen with a film dedicated to the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, directed by Lukas Tielke and produced by Quad Productions. This ambitious project celebrates the electric rebirth of an icon — the legendary Renault 5 Turbo — reimagined in 2025 as a radical and innovative mini-supercar.
True to his distinctive visual style and sense of rhythm, Lukas Tielke orchestrates a story of rare cinematic power. In a hangar shrouded in darkness, tension builds as technicians work around the 5 Turbo 3E before the driver steps in. On the starting line, a trail of fire ignites — a symbol of the combustion legacy facing off against electric speed. The race begins: a metaphorical duel between fuel and electricity, between memory and the future, elevated by a direction of almost mythic intensity.

The film unfolds with refined aesthetics, blending technical mastery, raw emotion, and visual virtuosity. Set to the cult track 'Nightcall' by Kavinsky, reinterpreted by Angèle, it establishes the Renault 5 Turbo 3E as a legend in the making, silent, yet fiercely alive.
"In this film, we see a clash between the line of fire, which embodies the mechanical fervor of the 1980s and 1990s burning oil, and the electric version that emerges like a silent flash: a frantic race between the memory of the past and the promise of a future in motion," said Arnaud Belloni, global chief marketing officer, Renault.
