RSA Films has welcomed renowned filmmaker/photographer Santiago Sierra Soler for commercial and branded content representation in the US. He is a versatile storyteller renowned for his exquisite visual aesthetic and exploration of cultural touchstones in his work.

Santiago has directed brand films for the likes of Absolut x Andy Warhol, adidas x Missoni, Teen Vogue and i-D. He’s created film campaigns and editorials for Chanel, Dior, Estée Lauder, Nike, Swarovski, Coach and Carolina Herrera featuring a who’s who of celebrity talent - Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Emma Stone and Michael B. Jordan, among them. And over the past year, he’s shot two covers for Vogue Mexico including September 2025’s ‘The Art of Love’ in collaboration with Cartier.

His latest work includes a Coach campaign featuring JLo, and Carolina Herrera’s ‘Cedar Chic’ campaign featuring modern dancer/model Toon Lobach. Also this year, he wrapped shooting several episodes on an upcoming docu-drama educational series called People of the West about Native Americans in California, past and present.

“Santiago is an exciting talent in the fashion and luxury worlds, who also brings a distinctive voice to lifestyle brand campaigns, immersive experiences and narrative formats,” said Luke Ricci, president of RSA Films US. “What I also admire about Santiago is his commitment to make work that creates cultural conversation and impact.”

“I’m incredibly excited to join RSA,” Santiago said. “Working with Luke, [EP] Jenni Sprunger and the team, will enable me to grow as a filmmaker and expand my voice in commercials and narrative. I have tremendous respect for the other directors at RSA and have always admired Ridley Scott’s work and his ability to blend storytelling, atmosphere and visual mastery. Seeing his storyboards recently at the office was surreal. He is truly a master artist and an inspiration.”

Santiago is a native of Mexico City who studied classical music at Mexico’s National Conservatory and Fine Arts in Melbourne, Australia. While he considers his base of Mexico City a great place to nurture creativity, he is a frequent traveler between Paris, Los Angeles and New York and is always seeking to bridge cultures through his work.

Also noteworthy in his ever-expanding oeuvre, Santiago created a 2023 solo exhibition called ‘Dioses y Máquinas’ (Gods and Machines) which ran at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. Equal parts beautiful, haunting and gripping, the exhibit was a seven-channel immersive reimagining of the Mexican muralism movement that merged indigenous symbolism with new technology. He was recently commissioned by YSL Beauty and its Open Sky Laboratory in Morocco to create a content series supporting local women and promoting regenerative agriculture in the Ourika Valley.

Santiago said, “I’m always chasing powerful ideas that can live in multiple forms - a campaign, a short film, an installation or a digital experience. My background is rooted in blurring the boundaries between disciplines - motion and stills, editorial and commercial, narrative and documentary, real spaces and digital spaces. In my work, it’s about making magic happen by transforming imagination into something real and emotionally resonant.”
