Pizza Pizza has giving Toronto a taste of punctuality with its 'on-time or free' delivery guarantee by contrasting itself to the Eglinton LRT, a project that’s anything but on time.
Zulu Alpha Kilo deployed a digital billboard to highlight the pizza brand's commitment to delivering on-time by driving along the still-unopened, long-delayed LRT route, stopping at construction sites and TTC stations with a cheeky message, “They should’ve ordered the LRT from us.” The creative playfully pokes fun at the ongoing delays while reinforcing Pizza Pizza’s belief that Everyone Deserves Pizza, delivered when they need it, not whenever your order finally rolls in.
“We can’t open the LRT, but we can guarantee your dinner. If it’s late, it’s free.” said Adrian Fuoco, chief marketing officer, Pizza Pizza.
Jonah Flynn, creative director at Zulu Alpha Kilo, added, “What better way to remind Torontonians of Pizza Pizza’s “on time or free” guarantee than by contrasting it against the city’s most infamously late and expensive construction project?”
Toronto-based Pizza Pizza’s 40-minute delivery guarantee is a win-win: get your pizza on time or enjoy it for free. While the city waits for transit to catch up, Pizza Pizza is reminding everyone that at least one thing in Toronto runs on schedule.
The campaign was created in partnership with Zulu Alpha Kilo and is launched in Toronto with PR managed by spPR and media production by Statements Media.
