Per has more than 30 years of experience in senior marketing, brand and business leadership roles at companies including Volvo Cars and Telia

Forsman & Bodenfors appoints Per Carleö as head of client partnerships, strengthening the agency’s ambition to be a true creative business partner to modern marketing organisations.

Per Carleö joins Forsman & Bodenfors with deep first-hand experience of the agency, having worked closely with it as a client over many years. Most notably during his time at Volvo Cars, he was a driving force behind the award-winning Made by Sweden platform and other globally recognised work created in partnership with Forsman & Bodenfors – work widely seen as a benchmark for how creativity can shape brands and culture at scale.

With more than 30 years in senior marketing, brand and business leadership roles at companies including Volvo Cars and Telia, he brings a strong combination of creative conviction and operational understanding. He has led complex, in-house marketing organisations and understands how agencies need to evolve to support today’s marketing leaders – across strategy, execution, technology and transformation.

In his new role, Per will focus on deepening Forsman & Bodenfors’ long-term client partnerships, sharpening the agency’s ways of working, and strengthening the bridge between strategy, creativity and technology. His understanding of modern marketing stacks and emerging technology will also play a key role in supporting modern marketing organisations and in connecting clients to Stagwell’s broader capabilities, including the launch of The Machine, Stagwell’s flagship AI-driven marketing platform.

“I am very happy to welcome Per to Forsman & Bodenfors. He understands the potential of Forsman & Bodenfors because he has experienced us first-hand from the client side, delivering quality creative work and business results,” says James Jenkins, CEO of Forsman & Bodenfors. “That perspective allows creative ambition to be realised and scaled within complex organisations, which is incredibly important for us as we continue to deepen our client partnerships, our capabilities and how we support modern marketing organisations.”

“I have experienced Forsman & Bodenfors from the client side on some of the most ambitious work of my career,” says Per Carleö. “What sets the agency apart is the integration of world-class creativity, strategy and a deep understanding of how technology enables modern brands. That combination of capabilities – held together by a strong creative culture – is incredibly rare to find under one roof. Joining now is about strengthening that advantage and helping our clients find new ways to grow.”
