Lost in the ephemeral high of a surreal party, the breakup, the spiteful words on the train, the tears lost in the rain, the party thrown in the name of it, for Nadia Loren it's whatever. Memories of a heartbreak that no longer feel real, moments in time where she’s a stranger to her own thoughts, thoughts that like the lover she once had will inevitably fragment into oblivion. If it’s all just a temporary feeling, why not say whatever.
Creative director and photographer Blacksocks not only envisioned the surreal and nostalgic party that Nadia glides through like an apparition, but also from the ground up designed Nadia’s distinct visual identity as a new artist combining a modern edge with a hypnotic and surreal style, that uses nostalgic textures and fairytale influences to compliment Nadia’s unique artistic abilities.
Blacksocks’ bold and playful imagery is making waves within music, entertainment and advertising. Imbuing each frame with a distinct and dynamic energy, Amir brings his subjects to life with vibrant colour, inventive art direction and idiosyncratic compositions. Having crafted iconic visual identities for globally renowned artists such as Arlo Parks, Beabadoobee, and The 1975 to name a few.
Clancie Brennan managing director at 42 Branded commented that its, “A strong debut for Nadia Loren. Directed by Blacksocks, her first music video sets a confident tone for what’s to come — and we’re glad to have been part of making it happen.”
Blacksocks is represented for commercials by 42 managing director Clancie Brennan.
