Marshall Street Editors has welcomed narrative film and video editor Daniel Mitchell to the team. Daniel began his career in South Africa and has quickly become a sought-after talent in both the commercial and long-form space. Known for his longstanding creative partnership with acclaimed director Fausto Becatti, recently signed to Hungryman, Daniel has built a strong body of work for brands such as Volkswagen, Tiger Beer and Carling to name a few. Daniel has also won awards for Best Craft in Editing at the BRICS Film Festival, Pendoring Awards and Ciclope Festival.
Beyond commercials, Daniel has also made his mark in feature films. Most recently, he completed post-production on How to Date Again, a new film starring Haley Joel Osment and created by Matt Flanders. His creative network includes close collaboration with director Michael Matthews, known for Love and Monsters and Five Fingers for Marseille - the latter edited by Daniel.
Daniel brings to Marshall Street Editors a wealth of diverse experience, technical precision and narrative intuition to every project. Paired with enthusiasm and personality, he is a great addition for the edit house.
SJ O’Mara, head of production says, “Dan has been a friend of Marshall Street Editors for quite some time, and I was delighted to finally offer him a place with our crew. His warm character and gentle demeanour fit perfectly with Marshall Street’s ethos, while his visual flair and poetic style bring an exciting contrast. This is going to get interesting!”
Daniel Mitchell says "Marshall Street has long been a stalwart of the industry, and I’m excited to join such a talented and highly experienced team. I’m looking forward to our future together."
