In celebration of National Women's Health and Fitness Day, wellness brand Ladywell has partnered with production company Tool to launch 'Uncensor Your Health,' a new campaign powered by the Censorship Scrambler to uncensor healthcare.
The campaign was born out of frustration of sexual and reproductive health information being suppressed on major tech platforms. An alarming 84% of ads related to women's health get pulled on social media and a staggering 90% of women’s health orgs get censored for using medical and anatomically correct terms like menopause, perimenopause, miscarriage, discharge, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, vagina, breast, and many more.

The Censorship Scrambler scrambles health-related terms in ads to get past filters on major tech and ad platforms. Ladywell invites users and brands to input their message that may contain banned words to use the AI-powered scrambler to scramble censored terms just enough to bypass filters while keeping them legible.
Women’s health is being silenced online. Content about periods, menopause, miscarriage, and other vital topics are three times more likely to be blocked than men’s health content. Automated moderation tools routinely flag medically accurate terms, like vagina or endometriosis as 'explicit.' To dodge censorship, creators are forced into using coded 'algospeak', but this workaround dilutes the message and fuels stigma, making it harder for people to access clear, life-changing information.
The 'Uncensor Your Health' campaign kicked off September 24th and will be live for one month on major social platforms.
