Johannes Leonardo has named a key internal promotion and a new hire to support its continued momentum and growth.
In her second year at the helm, CEO Helen Andrews has led Johannes Leonardo to continued success by championing a new positioning: creating brand ideas worthy of consumer participation. Staying true to the agency’s founding belief that 'The Consumer is the Medium,' this new direction has been brought to life through recent acclaimed campaigns such as adidas Originals x Oasis: Original Forever, the Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles' Wienie 500 race, and the record-breaking Anthony Edwards AE 1 series. Strategic moves have led to significant growth, evidenced by a growing client roster that includes new partners like Chime and Suntory’s On the Rocks. They’ve also expanded their work with existing clients, adding new brands and greater responsibilities.
Patrice Reiley, a BBDO NY veteran has worked with some of the world’s most iconic brands for her 18-year career. After starting off on Lowe’s Home Improvement, she embarked on a seven-year stretch working on PepsiCo. The majority of that time was dedicated to MTN DEW developing award-winning work and where she got her first taste of the Super Bowl. Her next chapter brought on the world of financial tech and retail via VISA US, and Macy’s. More recently, Patrice led non-profit organisations AARP and NYU Langone Health. When she’s not responding to emails or laughing with her team, she is likely at a playground with her husband, Dan, running after their daughter Remy.
In her role as head of account management, Patrice will oversee JL’s account management department and lead the agency's Volkswagen business, building on the success of their award-winning campaigns.
“From the moment I walked through the doors of JL, I was blown away by the people who make this place so special. The infectious culture fuels inspiration and creativity, and I'm so excited for the opportunity to be a part of it. It’s a privilege to be surrounded by an incredible leadership team who keeps raising the bar.” said Patrice Reiley, head of account management.
Rebecca O’Neill has been a staple of JL’s production team for the last six and a half years, leading production as group executive producer on the Volkswagen account, spearheading complex productions and cross-platform campaigns. Most notably, she produced JL’s first-ever Super Bowl ad. As of today, Rebecca takes on her new role as head of production. With over 20 years of experience in the advertising industry, Rebecca has worked at industry leading agencies like Crispin Porter + Bogusky and BBH with her work being honoured by every major industry award show including the Cannes Lions, Clios, D&AD and The One Show. Equal parts problem solver and creative partner, she brings a steady passion for great work and a thoughtful approach to evolving what production can be.
In her role as head of production, Rebecca will lead JL's production department and their in-house production arm, overseeing the execution of expertly crafted campaigns worthy of participation across JL’s client roster.
“Having grown with JL over the past six years, I couldn't be more excited to step into this new role. Leading this best in class team is such an honour and I can't wait to continue to collaborate with our outstanding leadership and creative teams to produce ground breaking work as technology continues to redefine what is possible.” said Rebecca O’Neill, head of production.
“Nothing makes me happier than bringing in exceptional talent like Patrice and recognising the incredible leaders we already have at Johannes Leonardo with someone like Rebecca. They both have a wealth of experience, impressive skills and are fundamentally good people to be around. Cannot wait to see all the good things they’ll do as part of the JL management team" said Helen Andrews, CEO.
