JB Braud brings his signature cinematic precision and wit to 'Parlez-Vous Métier?', a series of short films for Métier, the British luxury house celebrated for its travel pieces and intelligent design.
Through a trio of elegantly humorous vignettes (The Restaurant, The Cloakroom, and The Terrace), JB captures the brand’s ethos: intelligent design and the art of living beautifully, effortlessly. In 'The Restaurant', a friendly competition over who will pay the bill turns into a choreography of fumbling wallets and flying cards, ending gracefully thanks to Métier’s design. In 'The Cloakroom', a woman’s search for her belongings takes an unexpected, surreal twist as she almost disappears into her own bag. And in 'The Terrace', two twins witness a UFO over Paris, but only one manages to capture the moment: the one with the better-organised Métier backpack.
Each story is built around a touch of magical realism and strong art direction, inviting viewers to discover the beauty and the benefits of being effortlessly organised.
"Métier is about thoughtful objects that make life smoother without shouting," said director JB Braud. "My goal was to translate that same intelligence and elegance into visual storytelling."
Produced by Henry and Parole, JB's creative practice.
