Imagination Australia has delivered the global launch of the All-new Nissan Navara, transforming Anstey Hill Quarry into a dramatic stage for a reveal broadcast to audiences worldwide.
The launch was the centrepiece of Nissan's 2025 National Partner Meeting, a two-day programme designed to energise dealers, inspire media, and signal the brand's future direction in the Oceania region.
Central to the brief was Nissan's 'Defy Ordinary' philosophy. Rather than a convention centre or studio, Imagination sought a location that embodied the same qualities as the Navara and the people who drive it: rugged, enduring, shaped by time and pressure. Anstey Hill Quarry provided the answer.
The reveal sequence opened with an emotional tribute to the Australians who make this country proud every day: early risers, hard workers, problem solvers. This led to three minutes of spectacular projection mapping with custom CGI, transforming the quarry's rock face, the size of half a soccer pitch, into a dramatic canvas. As the sequence reached its climax, the digital vehicle became physical, with the actual Navara emerging before the audience in a seamless phygital moment.
Day one also featured the first local in-person appearance of the All-new Patrol and heritage storytelling at Patrol Park. Day two saw dealers participate in an immersive drive experience at Adelaide's 4WD Park, with multiple experiential stops, masterclasses and deep dives into vehicle capability and aftersales, before the National Dealer Partner Dinner.
"Nissan asked us to bring 'Defy Ordinary' to life in a way that felt authentic and emotional, grounded in Australian life," said Alistair Wilson, managing director, Imagination Australia. "The quarry was the perfect stage. It's a landscape forged by nature and shaped by work, just like the people this vehicle is built for. No algorithm can tow a boat, build a house, or cheer in the rain. This launch was about honouring that truth."
"This was our moment on the global stage, and Imagination delivered," said Andrew Humberstone, managing director, Nissan Oceania. "They understood ‘Defy Ordinary’ as the platform of the Nissan Oceania brand strategy. The launch experience connected emotionally with event attendees and viewers alike and captured the spirit of both the vehicle and the people it's built for."
Awarded following a competitive pitch, the project was supported by a teaser content series across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Key collaborators included Premcar, Nissan United, and Motorsport Safety and Rescue. The event builds on Imagination's partnership with Nissan, following the award-winning launch of the Nissan LEAF in Japan earlier in 2025.
