Google Canada, Bell, and MLSE bring back the 'Pixel In The Clutch' campaign, pairing Raptors fandom with Gemini powered AI for real time solutions

Google Canada, Bell, and MLSE have partnered once again with Cossette to launch the latest evolution of their 'Pixel In The Clutch' campaign. Now in its third iteration, Raptors star Scottie Barnes and iconic commentator Jack Armstrong reunite to showcase how the Google Pixel 10, powered by Gemini AI, comes through when it matters most.

Built on the insight that every Raptors fan loves a clutch play, the campaign cleverly draws parallels between game-time heroics and everyday problem-solving. Whether it’s making a last-minute parking decision, rescuing a spicy BBQ disaster, or jump-starting a car at a remote cottage, the Pixel 10—with Gemini—proves it’s got the tools to handle high-pressure moments.

The new series of spots continues the comedic tone fans have come to love. In 'Tight Spot', a family heading to a Raptors game faces a confusing tangle of downtown parking signs that make it unclear if their parking spot is legal—until Gemini steps in with a definitive answer. In 'Cooked', a backyard host fumbles a hot sauce pour, only to recover with a clever Gemini-powered recipe fix. And in 'Boost', a group of friends stranded at a cottage get real-time guidance from Gemini to safely jump-start a car.

"We wanted to keep building on a creative platform that’s already proven to resonate, while finding fresh, culturally relevant ways to connect with fans," said Alyssa Graff, group creative director at Cossette. "The chemistry between Scottie and Jack is still the heartbeat of the work but the Pixel 10 and Gemini are the stars that step in and deliver when it counts."

Now powered by Gemini Live, the campaign showcases Google’s next-gen AI capabilities—allowing the Pixel 10 to analyse live video, understand context, and offer help in real time. It’s an evolution of the 'clutch' concept that brings the product’s innovation front and centre.

"This campaign has always been about meeting people where they are—both in life and in culture,” said Rohan Sarna, product marketing manager, devices and services at Google Canada. “With Gemini and the Pixel 10, we had an opportunity to reimagine the idea of 'clutch' in a way that feels even more immediate, more visual, and more useful. It’s a fresh lens on a platform that’s already built real momentum.”

Targeted to Raptors fans and those ready for an AI smartphone experience, the campaign will run across TV, Connected TV, YouTube, and social platforms. With real-time AI powered by Gemini and the speed of Bell 5G+, the Pixel 10 proves once again: when the moment comes, it comes clutch.
