Dukes Vintage and Riff Raff Films blend festive nostalgia and playful Soho mischief together in a perfectly inappropriate spot directed by Ed Morris

Move over John Lewis. Dukes Vintage has dropped the cheekiest Christmas campaign of the year.

Dukes, Soho’s beloved retro treasure trove - with its roots and beginnings on a market stall on Berwick street - has unveiled a Christmas campaign unlike any other.

The campaign features three executions, each showing a shopper proudly holding up the perfect vintage find for their kids Christmas present. But as the garment drops, the camera catches a glimpse of something a little more adult. The sort of unexpected moment only Soho can deliver.

It’s a play on Dukes iconic location, sharing a door with one of Soho’s oldest sex shops, a neat way of directing mums and dads to the shop. It’s festive shopping with a twist: warm, nostalgic, wholesome on the surface, and delightfully irreverent underneath.

“If Christmas can’t be about family piss take, salacious revelation and shame," said Agency Intervention, "then what on earth’s the point of showing up.”

Dukes soho said “It doesn’t get more Soho than this, sex toys and second hand clothing... Happy Christmas.”
