Droga5 London, part of Accenture Song, has appointed Dan Roberts and Matteo Alabiso as co-creative directors of design, underscoring the agency’s commitment to placing design at the centre of its creative practice.

In their new roles, Dan and Matteo will lead the studio’s design vision and output, reporting directly to chief creative officer Tara Ford, who joined the London office earlier this year from her role as CCO of Droga5 Australia and New Zealand and CCO across Accenture Song in Asia-Pacific.

Previously design directors at the agency, Dan and Matteo will now partner to shape Droga5 London’s design culture and capabilities, ensuring design is integrated seamlessly across campaigns and experiences.

Dan Roberts brings nearly 20 years of design and creative leadership to the role. Since joining Droga5 in October 2023, he has built on an award-winning career that includes his tenure at Made Thought, where he partnered with clients such as Design Miami, NFW, and Transcendental Meditation. He has also led campaigns for global icons including Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, Red Bull Racing, and Puma, working with agencies such as Grey, Impero, Neighbour, and Spring Studios.

Matteo Alabiso has been an integral part of Droga5 London for over seven years, shaping and elevating Droga5’s design offering to help it become one of the leading design studios in the country. He brings more than a decade of experience working with leading global brands like Amazon, Coca-Cola, Maserati, McLaren, and Philips, and category-shaping projects like Coal Drops Yard. His work has been exhibited internationally and honoured at top industry awards.

These appointments reinforce Droga5 London’s ongoing commitment to weaving design seamlessly into its creative process, ensuring it remains a driving force in the agency’s ideas and execution.

Tara Ford, chief creative officer, Droga5 London, part of Accenture Song, said, “Dan and Matteo are exceptional creative leaders whose work embodies the craft, intelligence, and ambition that define Droga5. Their appointment reflects our drive to push the boundaries of design as a core discipline, alongside storytelling and technology. Their leadership will help shape a new era for Droga5, where design delivers not only beauty and craft, but real business impact.

Dan Roberts, co-creative director of design, Droga5 London, part of Accenture Song, commented, “Droga5 London has always been defined by its design output, and Matteo and I have worked tirelessly to place design at the heart of how we think and create. Design should never be an afterthought – it’s fundamental to how we build iconic work – and we’re excited to keep evolving that vision together, pushing beyond traditional advertising and identity.”

Matteo Alabiso, co-creative director of design, Droga5 London, part of Accenture Song, added, “Being a veteran Drogan, I’ve seen this agency through many different lenses. Over the years, design has become more relevant and deeply embedded in the creative process than ever before, and I’m proud to have played a role in shaping that journey here.

Our appointment as creative directors of Design marks another step toward a more integrated design offering. Today, brands are experienced in countless ways, and advertising is just one of the many ways consumers engage with them. Our ambition is to craft consistent, meaningful communication for brands across every touchpoint.”
