Debenhams Delivers Christmas Early with All-Star Parade

​Debenhams has proven that it's never too soon to get into the Christmas spirit with this bold, feel-good campaign that reinforces Debenhams’ position as Britain’s online destination for effortless festive shopping.

The film opens on a familiar suburban street, where everyday life gives way to a burst of festive magic that turns pre-season fatigue into a moment we all look forward to.

Led by an all-star cast including television personality, presenter and podcaster Olivia Attwood, former footballer, podcast host and pundit Peter Crouch, and comedian and presenter Judi Love, the film brings to life a vibrant ‘Debenhams Delivered’ parade. The sequence highlights the breadth of Debenhams’ offering, from fashion and beauty to home and fragrance, through a lively, choreographed homage to the season that’s impossible not to smile at.

The glitzy 40" hero film balances human connection with the dazzle of the celebrity parade, neatly connecting the reality of a mum's busy day-to-day life with the effortless ease of finding everything you need for Christmas at Debenhams.

Created by independent agency Exposure, and produced by boutique studios Vigilante and Creep, the campaign combines cutting-edge workflows including real-time virtual production, and traditional CGI and VFX techniques to deliver a campaign that was both technically and artistically ambitious. Shot entirely in a studio, a scale-accurate previs of the street and floats was built in Unreal Engine to plan camera movement, composition, and timing, allowing pre-tested lensing, technocrane moves, parallax, and pacing ahead of the shoot.

On set, All Groovy VFX provided real-time camera tracking that streamed live position, orientation, and lens metadata into Unreal. This allowed an overlay of the previs onto the camera feed, giving immediate feedback on framing and composition and ensuring a precise match between the real and virtual cameras.

The magic was brought to life in post-production by a highly skilled team of 3D and compositing elves, ensuring the all-star cast each had their moment to shine in this vibrant, joy-filled celebration of Christmas.
