Full-service, Milwaukee-based independent agency Hanson Dodge has welcomed Chad Verly in the new role of group creative director. He was most recently a creative director at Cramer-Krasselt in Chicago and Milwaukee. In his new role, Chad will report to chief creative officer Mike Roe and help oversee the agency’s expanded workflow which includes recent new business wins and new assignments from clients such as American Standard, PurposeBuilt Brands, Potawatomi Ventures, Milliman Intelliscript and more. Chad represents the first senior creative hire made by Roe since he was named the agency’s chief creative officer last year.
“As our creative portfolio expands, so does the number of creative assignments and need for additional senior guidance and partnership. Chad is multi-dimensional – a designer and art director by trade, but he’s also a writer, illustrator and editor. I’ve always admired Chad’s insights, along with his ability to craft and concept. His ‘swiss-army-knife’ flexibility, combined with his experience in categories germane to HD, will help us make the next great leaps for our clients,” said Mike Roe.
Chad Verly is an award-winning creative director who brings 20 years’ experience to his new role. As a creative director at Cramer-Krasselt, where he worked for the past seven years, Chad delivered work for such well-known brands as Tropicana, Corona, Cedar Fair and ECHO Outdoor Power Tools. Prior to that, Chad was a creative director with Energy BBDO in Chicago, working on household staples like Ziploc, Raid, Windex, Alka-Seltzer Plus and more. He also served as a senior art director at Leo Burnett. He began his career at the Chicago creative boutique Hadrian’s Wall, giving him experience at agencies both large and small, independent and publicly-owned.
Chad’s arrival continues the transformation taking place creatively within Hanson Dodge since Mike Roe joined. Last year, he promoted Katherine Schmidt to creative director.
