Barry’s Tea has unveiled a moving Christmas homecoming film as part of its ‘You’re Home’ campaign, celebrating the powerful emotion of returning to where you truly belong. The heart-warming video reminds us that home is more than a place - it’s the people who welcome you back, the connections that matter most and the feeling of truly belonging.
This new video marks the latest phase of the “You’re Home” campaign, created by THINKHOUSE, following the launch of the new brand positioning by TBWA\Ireland in collaboration with insights agency Bricolage, last year. This latest instalment builds the brand’s recent TVCs and last year’s tear-jerking Christmas film set at Dublin Airport.
Filmed in Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport in the days leading up to Christmas, the film captures the unmistakable joy of welcoming loved ones home. Set entirely in the arrivals hall, it follows the quiet anticipation, nervous smiles and mounting excitement of those waiting, before erupting into hugs, laughter and happy tears as families and friends are finally reunited ahead of Christmas 2025.
Among the hundreds gathered in arrivals, the film captures a series of deeply personal reunions. One mother, Helen Farrell, waits patiently for her daughter Shelly to arrive home with her fiancé Peter, as they bring their daughter Éabha to Ireland for the very first time. Elsewhere, a father, Noel Scott stands ready with balloons and flowers to welcome his daughter Chloe home from Australia, while another man, Bhagyesh Shingwekar, waits anxiously to be reunited with his wife after months of long-distance, just in time for the holidays.
Reflecting on what the season means to her, one woman said through tears, “Christmas, for me, is about having everyone together - having my family around me.”
Another woman, Alexandra Maftei, described home simply as, “Home is here right now. It’s wherever you make it, as long as you’re with the people you love.”
Across Terminal 2, excited families gathered in Christmas jumpers, holding homemade banners and accompanied by a few furry friends, transforming the arrivals hall into a place of warmth, welcome and belonging for the thousands returning home for the holidays.
This Christmas homecoming film reflects the essence of Barry’s Tea’s, it’s about the people and connections that matter most to us. As the brand approaches its 125th anniversary, it celebrates the moments that have brought people together for generations, reminding us that no matter how far we travel, home and the people who make it are never far away.
