Thinkbox is back in collaboration with British Arrows, continuing their celebration of the wizardry that takes TV advertising from ordinary to unforgettable, with a new installment of ‘The Art of Craft’.
Each film explores the work of a Craft Arrows winner through the lens of a specific discipline as production and post production specialists reveal how they leveraged their expertise to bring the creative vision to life in an outstanding way. So far, the series has seen Love Song director Elliott Power examine his direction of ‘Freedom’, and Absolute’s creative director of colour, Philip Hambi, dive into grading Burger King ‘We Give Up’.
‘The Art of Craft’ serves as powerful evidence of the value of investing in advertising craft.
In the latest episode, tenthree editor and partner, Ellie Johnson, spotlights how she cut Bodyform/Libresse’s brutally honest ‘Never Just a Period’ – and went on to win not only a Craft Gold Arrow for it, but also an AICP, a Gold at CICLOPE, The One Show, and Creative Circle, and Silvers at the Gerety and Clio Awards. These institutions, alongside Cannes Lions, D&AD, LIA, and Music + Sound Awards, also crowned the all-rounder for its direction, production, production design, music, sound, and animation.

Ellie first made a name for herself as a creative and widely sought after editor while at Speade, under the mentorship of critically acclaimed talents Sam Sneade and Leo Scott. In addition to raking in the award wins, she has ranked either first or second in Televisual’s Top 10 Editors list from 2021 to 2025. Her other notable work includes films for brands like Coca-Cola, John Lewis, and Squarespace, as well as videos for artists like Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris, and Rihanna.
