Director Verónica Von Joins ANIMALS

Toronto-based production company ANIMALS has welcomed director Verónica Von to its roster for commercial representation in Canada.

Born in Argentina, Verónica describes herself as a “nomad by choice”, her work informed by the places she’s been, and people she’s met around the world. 

Her introduction to filmmaking came through acting and the cinema, where she was fascinated by the opportunity to create characters and conceptualise new and unexplored worlds. After co-writing and directing a play in her last year of school, Verónica was intent on pursuing a career behind the lens, first opting to follow her love of photography to London, where she studied at Central Saint Martin's. 

After working for a number of years as a creative assistant for directors, Verónica began to direct her own work in 2016. Since then, she has collaborated with major creative agencies including David, GUT, Publicis Milan and BBDO. 

She has worked with brands including Coca-Cola, WhatsApp, Burger King, Samsung, Schweppes and Milka, and been recognised internationally at festivals and award shows including Cannes Lions, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, and D&AD.

Verónica’s work captures the beauty, humour and irony of everyday life. The storylines feel both alive and deeply human, shaped by her curiosity and desire to better understand the world around her. 

Verónica commented on the signing, “ANIMALS feels like the right place to keep pushing my work. They care about real stories and real people. It just felt right, same pulse, and the same love for stories that feel alive.”
