Aktion Mensch and Serviceplan Cologne collaborated on a campaign advocating for young people to speak up against bullying, with ‘Don’t Say Nothing’.
The anti-bullying campaign ‘Don’t Say Nothing’ (‘Sagt Nicht Nichts’) is Serviceplan Cologne’s first awareness project as the creative lead agency for the non-profit organisation Aktion Mensch.
The campaign encourages people affected by bullying to share their experiences and seek help.
With 46% of young people experiencing bullying and almost 80% not speaking up about it, according to a study by Aktion Mensch, the taboo around this topic is a great issue.
The new awareness campaign by Aktion Mensch, developed under the creative direction of Serviceplan Cologne, thus encourages young people to break their silence and take action.
Liselotte Schwenkert, managing director of Serviceplan Cologne, said, “With this campaign, we aim not only to raise awareness about bullying but also to spark real conversations in everyday life. Behind what seems like ‘nothing’ often lies a heavy burden – our creative approach is intended to motivate breaking this silence.”
Alexa Küddelsmann, head of campaign and content at Aktion Mensch, added, “For over 20 years, Aktion Mensch has been the largest non-governmental supporter for children and young people in Germany. With our current awareness campaign on bullying, we want to highlight a problem that many young people are affected by – and motivate action.”
The campaign was filmed, among other places, at Act e.V., a project funded by Aktion Mensch in Berlin that empowers young people with theatre training to face the challenges of their generation.
In addition to the produced films, which will be broadcast from September 29th via TV, digital, social media, and out-of-home advertising, the campaign also includes print ads calling for action with the slogan ‘Don’t Say Nothing’. The appeal is directed not only at those affected but also at bystanders, relatives, friends, and everyone observing bullying.
The campaign was produced by Serviceplan MAKE and Stereo Films under the direction of Ivan Boljat. André Josselin was responsible for the photography. The campaign runs until November 2nd 2025. A second phase is planned for spring 2026.
